Invicta Knights v Streatham Chiefs

Sunday 22nd May 2005

Home Loss 1-7 (No.4 Murray Tester)

This is the first Knights' game I managed to get to this year and despite the scoreline it was worth watching.

Keeping the defence busy The Chiefs netminder must have gone to Specsavers - he only let one in! The excellent ice claims one of its' first victims of the game (but, Bruce Forsyth was on hand to offer support)... ...but, with a surface like this it's not surprising!

The Chiefs No.4 (Jimmy Gardner) came out with an excellent one liner whilst organising the Chiefs' lines. "Where's the guy that ain't out there?" He wanted the 2nd line on the ice when they already were!

Is this a girlie I see before me? I had to do this one! This must be what they teach in goalie school.

As well as the ice surface causing problems one of the gates decided to open when hit by a player. Quality rink facilities as usual.

The officials must have been scared as they kept having to watch their backs! Chaos before the puck drops. The plod were on the scene in case anything untoward happened. It's that bloke again. Time for some tom foolery this time. Apparently getting hit in the face... ...by a stick isn't funny!

This is a hat that he can't get away with putting on backwards! There's something on his mind... They forgot the difference between NHL & NFL in the end. The missing link? No, it's the Knights MoM!

Darren Keen had a little tussle with Jimmy Gardner but, thankfully I didn't get a photo as Jimmy wasn't a pretty sight semi-naked.
